Having gauged popular opinion amongst many of the Granby mums it became apparent that a joint birthday party was a welcome idea. Therefore, without further a do, here are the details:

- Sunday 21st September 2008
- Ebenezer (Bedminster) Methodist Church
- British Road
- Bedminster
- 2pm to 4pm

The party is for babies born to the Granby team between August and October 2007 and mums and dads too!

To celebrate our babies' first year we are having a party that will be fun; filled with food, music, games and cake! We are estimating that the overall costs will be in the region of £80 and this will include the hire of the hall, cake, drinks, balloons, pass the parcel and entertainment. Therefore, depending on numbers, the more people that come the cheaper it will be per family. Please let Amelia, Paula or Sue know by Thursday 17th July whether you will be able to attend along with a £5 non-returnable deposit so we can go ahead and make bookings. We can sort out the difference once we know final numbers and final costs.

I had tried to set-up an online shared folder so we could capture the signing up of food items to bring however this didn't work as intended. Am hoping that this blog will be more successful as we'll be able to track everyone's comments in terms of what we are each going to bring.

The original list still applies.....

If there is nothing that takes your fancy feel free to bring along something else. We're hoping to provide a limited supply of soft drinks for the adults but please note that the consumption of alcohol on the premises is forbidden by the church.

To ensure that all babies have a present to take home we are going to organise a ‘Secret Santa.’ Please bring a uni-sex present, wrapped up and worth approximately £5. There will be a box at the entrance of the hall for you to place the present in and there will be an exchange of gifts towards the end of the party.

Despite us being such a large ante-natal group the party will be a testament to the many good friendships formed over the past 12 months and a chance to share in our babies' first milestone.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Amelia, Paula and Sue
